MBY Connections

D-Groups

D-Groups are a new ministry in the Sr. High. They are discipleship groups of 6-10 students that are led by the youth in them. They serve to allow youth to develop a personal commitment to Bible study and accountability with their peers. They also create a place to study topics of their own choosing. Groups are used to Connect youth with other believers and allow them to Grow in their faith. D-Groups meet at a variety of times and locations, and there will always be a place for new people.

Missions

The MBY recognizes God’s mandate to love and serve others. Therefore, a variety of missions trips and projects will appear on our calendar. Recent missions include the Neighborhood Fellowship Breakfast, Anaheim ’07, the Union Rescue Mission, Dallas ‘08, Trick-or-Treat so Others Can Eat, Anadarko ’08, as well as supporting numerous missionaries and short term missions for our students. Missions opportunities are used to Grow their faith, offer their lives Sacrificially, and Glorify Christ’s name in service and missions. Fourth Sunday’s and the Neighborhood Fellowship.

Breakfast

The Fourth Sunday of each month the Sr. High does not engage in typical Sunday School. On these days our group serves others. The Neighborhood Fellowship Breakfast is a ministry at First Baptist Church in Wichita that serves a meal to people on the streets. We go there most of these Sunday mornings to fellowship with these folks for a few hours. Here, students have a place to Grow in their faith, offer their lives Sacrificially, and Glorify Christ’s name in service. Please note the church Prayerline and bulletin for changes in schedule.

Wednesday Nights

During the school year, this is where some of our largest gatherings as a youth group occur. All high school students are invited to join us, as always. We engage in worship, teaching, small groups, and fun for the purpose of glorifying God among the fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ. Here, students have an opportunity to Invite their friends, Connect with others, and Grow in faith.
